Your giving can change lives
Each cause here has been approved for the kinds of giving it can receive, so nothing is offered a gift it may not accept.
No cause is open for giving yet
A cause appears here once it has been approved for the kinds of giving it may receive. You can still give to any of the funds above, and it will be held for that purpose.
Choose what to giveCalculate your Zakat with confidence
Enter your qualifying assets, see the nisab threshold the calculation is measured against, and read the working line by line before you give anything.
- Each asset shown separately, with what was counted and what was not.
- The nisab price and the date it was taken from.
- The holding-period question asked plainly, not assumed.
- Zakat al-Fitr kept separate — it is a different obligation.
An illustration. Your own figures decide the result.
Why give through E-Sadaqah?
Four things this platform will do, and will let you check.
-
Giving you can follow
Each cause shows what it has raised against what it set out to raise, and publishes a report when the work is done.
-
Straightforward to give
Say what you are giving, choose where it goes, and finish. No account is needed to make a gift.
-
Worked out, not guessed
Zakat, Fidya and Kaffarah each follow their own published rule, and the calculation is shown rather than asserted.
-
Accountable by design
Money leaving a fund needs two different people to agree, and every decision is written to a record that cannot be quietly edited.
See the difference your giving makes
Reports are published when the work has been done and the spending has been accounted for — not when the money is collected.
No impact report has been published yet
A report appears here once a cause has been funded, the work carried out, and the spending accounted for. Until then there is nothing to report, and we would rather say so than fill the space.
See what is being fundedHow it works
Four steps, and you can stop at any of them.
-
Say what you are giving
Zakat, Sadaqah, Fidya and the rest are treated differently, so this comes first.
-
Choose the amount
Name a figure, or let the calculator work it out from your assets or the number of days or people.
-
Choose where it goes
Only causes approved to receive that kind of giving are offered. Zakat is never shown a cause it may not fund.
-
Keep the receipt
Every gift is receipted. Anyone can confirm a receipt is genuine from the number on it, without seeing anything about you.
Make giving part of your routine
A small amount given every month, without having to remember it, reaches further over a year than a single larger gift — and it is the giving most often described as the kind that is loved most, the one kept up.
-
What it will do
Give the same amount on a schedule you choose, to the fund or cause you choose, with every charge receipted exactly like a one-off gift — and pause or stop it yourself at any time.
-
Verification comes first
An organisation is checked against its registration and its own documents before it can receive anything. Until that is finished it is not shown as verified and no money is credited to it.
Supporting the institutions that serve our communities
Masjids, schools and Islamic organisations can register to receive giving through the platform, publish what they are raising for, and account for what they received.
This is separate from help given to an individual. People who receive aid are assessed and recorded by the charity; they are never asked to register an account here.
Frequently asked questions
The questions we are asked most often, answered as the platform actually behaves today.
What is E-Sadaqah?
A platform for giving Sadaqah, Zakat and the obligations that have to be worked out rather than guessed — Zakat al-Fitr, Fidya, Kaffarah and Waqf. Each kind of giving is held in its own fund, spent only on what it was given for, and receipted so it can be checked afterwards.
Do I need an account to give?
No. Giving does not require an account, and none is created for you. You give, you receive a receipt, and the receipt is the record.
Donor accounts — a place to see everything you have given, your receipts and your yearly summary — are planned but not built yet.
Which payment methods can I use?
None yet. No payment provider is connected to this platform, so nothing here can take money at the moment. You can still work out what you owe and record what you intend to give, and we will tell you how to pay.
Card and bank transfer open together once the charity's registration with a payment provider is complete.
Will I get a receipt?
Yes, once the money has actually arrived. Nothing is receipted on the strength of a payment having been started — a receipt here means the gift was received, not that it was attempted.
Every receipt carries a number. Anyone you show it to can confirm it is genuine from that number alone, and doing so reveals nothing about you.
How does the Zakat calculator work?
You enter the assets you hold, it measures them against the current nisab threshold, asks whether you have held them for the full lunar year, and shows the whole calculation line by line before any figure is given to you.
It follows published rules that have been approved before being used, and it tells you which assets it counted and which it did not. It is an estimate to help you give, not a ruling.
Can I make a recurring donation?
Not yet. Recurring giving needs a card mandate held on your behalf, and that depends on the same payment provider that card payment does. It opens at the same time.
When it does, you will be able to pause or stop it yourself, without having to ask anyone.
Every act of giving can make a difference.
Choose a cause that matters to you and take the next step toward meaningful charitable impact.
